The Malik ((ウルドゥー語:ملك),(グジャラート語:મલિક)) is a community found in the state of Gujarat in India 〔People of India Gujarat Volume XXI Part Two edited by R.B Lal, P.B.S.V Padmanabham, G Krishnan & M Azeez Mohideen pages 840-845〕 Many members of Malik clan have migrated to Pakistan after independence have settled in Karachi, Sindh. ==History and origin== The community claims a warrior in the army of Alauddin Khilji. and was given the title Malikayo Azorn, with the rights to collect taxes. These rights were confirmed by the British colonial authorities on his descendents. They were a community of petty feudal lords in the Kheda District.
